Medan du var borta is an artist book of 48 pages printed with a risograph. It consists of still images taken out of DV-film from my family archive. The book is centered around memory processes and how the construction of identity is connected to media technologies. The images, which were previously part of a chronological and linear chain of events, are broken up and thrown around. When the images are displaced from their original context, an interruption is created that allows for a new gaze.
