This project emerged from a period marked by swings between numbness and emotional overflow. I began studying comets, bodies that alternate long stasis with bursts of activity depending on their distance from the sun. Identifying with them, I searched for their presence in daily life, investigating a connection between me and them during their journey towards the Sun. As Long As the Sun Lasts suggests that while the sun exists, the comet, and therefore I, can awaken and stay alive.

The book comes with a removable dust jacket (photographs are printed on the inside), and underneath it features the same front cover and back cover. Glitter are not included by default in the book, but are left to the discretion of the person receiving it, who may choose not to have them. The book has a print run of 20 copies, plus a special edition of 10 copies (a box with the book and a signed fine art print).
