A CONVERSATION WITH ERIK VIKLUND
This is the first in a series of interviews featured in the Take 10 Press Journal, where we’ll be speaking with artists and publishers about their process, ideas, and ways of working with books.
In this occasion we talked with Erik Viklund, a Swedish artist whose practice move fluidly between photography, writing, and material experimentation. In this conversation, we discuss his shifting relationship with text, the concept of entropy in photography, and how a visit to Rome led him to question the way history is framed.

Take 10 Press, in collaboration with the Humanities Library and the Art Library, presented the exhibition Bibliotekssmälta: Zines & Tomes.
Through this collaboration, the two libraries are brought into dialogue, connecting independent and institutional archives to explore affinities and contrasts in themes, materials, and artistic approaches.

On January 25th, 2025, the Take 10 Press Library was introduced at Pony Books. The evening offered visitors a chance to browse the collection and reflect on the role of publishing, artists’ books circulation, and bookspaces.

Take 10 Press joined Konstkollektivet's 10th anniversary celebration with a library showcase and the presentation of new zines. The event featured performances, bookbinding demonstrations, visual works, in a full two-days program.

This workshop has been part of the event 'a zine is a zine is a zine' at Galleri Box.
In the digital age, what are the possibilities of using offline, non-computer, paper-based methods? The method presented is a “punk-DIY” process that can get something done quickly and easily but with a certain aesthetic. And the method is presented as a way of doing something “instead of not doing it at all”. Or for people that are better at interacting with physical objects (papers) than a computer.

‘a zine is a zine is a zine’ was an event held by Take 10 Press at Galleri Box (as guests of the space). We invited two guests, Salon de Papier (who hosted Fredrik Åkum of Sunless Press and Ola Lindgren) and Åke Sjöberg, to share their practices involving printed matter. Our newly founded zine library was also presented over the few days with around 30 works being shown from various artists and designers.
