‘Fortune Zines’ at Galleri Résistance
Göteborg
Göteborg
The event grew out of an invitation from Galleri Résistance that gradually developed into a collaboration, and with it came an opportunity to experiment with new ways of engaging with the Take 10 Press library. The result was something a little unexpected and quietly magical.
At the heart of the afternoon was a deck of cards, each carrying its own symbol. Guests were invited to draw one either with an open question in mind, a specific intention, or simply with curiosity, and receive a short reading. But the cards didn't stop there. Each one was also linked to a specific zine from the Take 10 Press Library, extending the reading into the physical space of a publication.
Around this, the afternoon unfolded warmly and without rush. Tea, coffee, and cake, conversations that started at the card table and drifted into the room.
A big thank you to Natalie for the card descriptions, the connections between symbols and zines, and for guiding the readings throughout the afternoon — and to Tonka for her support during the day. And of course to Mercè, whose idea made all of this possible. Deck design by Take 10 Press (Alberto Rossi).
