‘How to make a zine without using a computer’ at Bildverkstad,
Göteborg
Göteborg
The workshop was led by Åke Sjöberg.
Workshop text:
A way to relate to zine making without using a computer that could be helpful is that it's not about learning how to do something in some specific "right" way. It's about finding methods that allow just to do something, in some way that might work for you.
The method we will try in the workshop is a Lo-Fi -DIY process, that can get something done quickly and easily, but that gives a certain trashy aesthetic. And with these methods, I hope that doing some kind of zine-like booklets will become an option, instead of not doing any zines at all.
We will only be using black and white, or greyscale, no colour in this workshop. This is because the cost of copying black often is a fourth of copying colour.
