m e d e r i – latin for to heal, to relieve, to take care of, to bring into balance – is a project that examines the physical, psychological and metaphorical imprints of pain.

In the book, Brik explores the same object. 52 empty blister packs scanned at a 1:1 scale.
The contents have been removed from these blister packs, leaving the protective material without purpose. These remnants stand as a testimony that something has happened. Pain can be relieved for a time, but it still leaves traces. The repetition insists on slowness and invites attention to the small details and individual expressions of the blister packs, like pain itself.

Just like the subtle changes in the objects, the project also works with a linguistic shift. A sentence is repeated three times but subtly altered – a single letter changes each time, creating new words, meanings, and perspectives on a familiar proverb. And if time doesn’t heal all wounds, perhaps something else happens.
